Ysty Games is the home of games made by me, Edward Curtis-Sivess. Currently I'm making a game called Gaia Gestalt, which is due to be released on Windows, Mac and Linux sometime in November. Most of my other work has been for game jams, including The Yellow Wallpaper, an adaptation of the short story of the same name by Charlotte Perkins Gilman.
The first commercial game I developed was called In Space, a side-scrolling shooter that was also a colour matching game. Yeah, I know. Anyway, despite being an odd paring of a traditionally "hardcore" genre with a traditionally "casual" one it came out pretty well, so I decided to continue along the path of being a game developer.Afterwards
I took part in loads of game jams, making games as varied as a minimalist 2D horror fest, a visual novel about blowing up space ships built in Twine and Unity, and a "game" about starving to death in a Middle-English town square. So
Being tired of only having a very limited time to finish games, a while back I started developing Gaia Gestalt in Unity. Lots of fun experimentation with Perlin noise later and here we are, close to release. How time flies!
